Here's a few quick snaps. It was dark by the time I finished the mirrors, so the good pics will have to wait. Agent 47 mirrors were painted by SHR, and the fuel door is from SHR also. Fuel door quality and paint quality is first class, as to be expected from SHR. First pic is with new fuel door, before adding the mirrors. Sorry for the picture quality. I know it's not up to my usual standards.

*** EDIT *** Pictures replaced with new & improved pictures *** EDIT ***

So still not as good as the last set, but I really didn't have the time to drive around and find a great place. It's better than my driveway

Honestly, I liked it better with the OE mirrors and fuel door, especially with the painted cap on the mirrors. Still one of if not *the* best looking S197s I've ever seen, though.

Awesome! The fuel door matches your wheels.

Excellent decision to have only the mirror housing painted. That is exactly my plan with my Agent 47's. Looks good.

Thanks for all the opinions, good and bad. I think some people's opinions may change when they see the whole car, as I try to chose mods that tie together. Especially once I complete the front end.

The gas cap looks awesome, matches your rims perfectly! Honestly, I liked the color matched stock mirrors better. But then again, it's hard to get a opinion without having a full-view side shot of before and after. All in all, Looks Great! I too have been thinking of going with the Billet Fuel Door, just not crazy about drilling 6 holes in the car.

Car looks great - like the gas cover. However, I am not a big fan of the smaller mirrors. I like the larger, OEM ones

The SHR website advertises the fuel door as a no drill fit!

You don't have to drill any holes with the SHR cap. Those screws are purly cosmetic. The billet fuel door uses three existing holes. You don't need to make any modifications.

Thanks for the info, I checked it out and it looks good. What would your opinion be for a black car with chrome rims?

Polished/anodized Billet
Chrome
Black anodized
Satin
Polished with Black GT letters

For the best look, you always want to match your wheels (unless you have a black car, then black looks good regaurdless). So, with chrome wheels, you'd want a chrome door.

Personally I like the stock mirrors with the painted mirror half-covers better than the Agent 47 mirrors, but by no means do they look bad. Besides, as long as you are happy with them, thats all that matters! The fuel door looks fantastic with your wheels!

i gotta say I like the orginal mirrors better with the half covers. The fuel door is cool, though. It never occurred to me that they matched the wheels until I read a few posts.

The car looks really great, everything is tying together nicely. Just for anyone considering a billet fuel door for a vehicle driven in a state with salt and nasty winter. DO NOT use the billet door during winter. I have one on my new truck (it came with it) and it is a big pita and now the magnet broke.

The SHR pieces are anodized, so that should help. But you should always take pieces like that, aftermarket wheels, license plates frames, etc... off if you drive it through salt.

It's funny, over here nobody likes the mirrors, on other sites they love the mirrors. I personally love the mirrors and just ordered some the other day. I'm going to keep mine black for the first while It think and then decide if I'll paint later on.

I found that interesting as well. That's why I belong to 5 different Mustang boards. Each one is a bit different. As I said, though. Better pictures will do them justice, and will probably change a few opinions.
