I really like the mirrors but I can't decide whether to paint just the mirror housing or the entire thing. Can you post a full side view and front view of your car, please?

Thanks, --John

I hope to go get some good shots in a few hours here. If nothing else, I'll at least pull it out of the garage.

I still love the car in general. Everything ties together nicely. Still can't bring myself to like the mirrors. I'm undecided on the fuel door. Like I said before though, still one of the best looking S197s I've seen.

Man that is a sweet car! Do you find the cops love it too?

The last side picture must have some editing done to it becasue it looks like a picture out of a Ford Brochure. I'm getting jealous that you're been able to get your car out already and you're only 70 miles south of me. To much salt/grime/wetness on the roads here in Dubuque.

Knock on wood, I don't get much attention from law enforcement, but I drive rather conservatively on the street. I'm very conscious about trying to not get pulled over. I save it all for the track. We've never been pulled over in the 2005, either, for that matter. If you're not breaking the law, it's a lot harder for you to get pulled over.

I've only taken the car out twice this year. Once last week to get the wheels and tires on and do the other photoshoot, and then this time to do the photoshoot. Our roads are dry, but there's still some salt near the sides of the road on some roads. I just try to keep to 2 lane roads and use the inside lanes to avoid salt. Hopefully the rain over the next week will clear that up. Hopefully the SNOW they're predicting will not require salt (due to the ground being above freezing) so that I don't have to wait longer to pull the car out.

The Agent 47 mirrors are very beautiful but dont they have less mirror glass area? I prefer my nicknamed F150 mirrors because of the size and its great for the blind spots. Maybe I'll get matching covers if they're cheap enough on eBay.

I was wondering, is the power mirror mechanism still work after installing the new mirrors?

Yes the power mirror motors get transferred to the new mirrors. They work perfectly. The mirrors are smaller, but no smaller than my winter car (Contour) so it's not much of a difference to me.

Well, I love the mirrors...

...honestly, I've never been a fan of hood scoops on the s197, but yours REALLY pulls it off....doesn't look out of place.

Well done.

Dark, so when are you going to do the rear medallion from SHR? I think it'd look amazing on your car, especially if you got the GT and filled it in with red or black. Just saying.

Not sure when I'll get to that. Sometime this year, I'm sure. I'll be doing one similar to John's, with a different emblem, though. Polished on the outside and black inside.
