I am looking for an air cleaner that will fit my 69 mustang with an avenger carb and provide hood clearance. Maybe a recessed base? What are y’all using.
I am looking for an air cleaner that will fit my 69 mustang with an avenger carb and provide hood clearance. Maybe a recessed base? What are y’all using.
A recessed base air cleaner will impede airflow and cause a power loss...as will ANY air filter with a lower sidewall. Best results come from air cleaners that allow airflow downward...like the filters with a lid that is also a filter...not that any of that helps with your problem unless you get a scoop. Have you considered drop engine mounts to lower the engine and get more clearance that way?
