I need a new Clockspring for the airbag in my '93, does anyone know the part # or a place to get them cheap. (Not the dealership) Or does anyone know wich other fords used the same ones? If I could pick one up out of the junk yard thats cool, but I need to know wich vehicles to pull one from. Theres a van at work that has the same steering wheel and airbag as my stang, so I wondered how many vehicles I could find this part in. Thanks, Darin

It's a dealer only item. I don't know if you can even get them from the dealer any more. Any one that you pull from the junkyard may be bad. Also, it will be old and could go soon. So, I'd suggest that you pull 2-4 if you can.

Ford changed the connectors over the years. So, you have to be careful with the year you get the clockspring from.

Wow, I came up with only two from the search. The good news is that a place does have a new one.

BTW: So far, every place that I found on car-part.com will also ship. But, S&H varies greatly since many places are family businesses. So, always consider the S&H when deciding between places.

Thanks stang+2, I'll look into those. In the mean time If anyone can cross refference this part it would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to go really cheap on this one, so if I cant find a cheap one in a yard, I'll proally' have to just drop the cash for a new one. However, I missed an auction on ebay for a new one that went for $5+ shipping. So if they can be had for that, i dont feel justified spending the $100. Thanks again for the help!!!
