Airbag Removal ... please help me take these out

i am trying to remove the air bags from the parts car that i bought, i am having a he!! of a time figuring out how to remove the one on the passenger side, i have the drivers side out....

any links help or anything is appreciated....

ok the drivers side is held in with 2 screws. there are 2 covers(one on each side of wheel) that need to be popped off in order to get to the screws. Then, slide it out and un clip the wire harness.

passenger side consists of looking up under the dash and removing the 3 bolts holding the unit to the horizontal bar in there. also thjere is a wire harness for this one too. then undo the velcro on the 2 sides of the cover and slide that bad boy out.


Also, make sure you disconnect the battery first.

cool beans, i gotta look for the bar under the dash, i called myself looking, but i probably missed it.......

i will update this tomm. afternoon after i try it..

That's how i disconnected the passenger side air bag in my 95 from the harness, the reason i did it was so the kid's could ride up front, the only down fall is the AIR BAG light stay's on all the time now BTW does this part's car have a 94-95 T- 5 in it? Help a brotha out i blew mine??peace

If the battery is still hooked up to the parts car be sure to disconnect it and wait 2 minutes to remove power from airbag module. Peace

battery has been unhooked for a couple of months.......lol

thanks for you guys help, and safety concerns, i have heard the stories of them going off because people didn't unhook the battery etc...

that stuff is gone......lol sold the whole setup for the 5-lug swap for 350......and one car i am keeping the spindles etc. from, for my project coupe......in da future...
