Does anyone know anything about these guys? They seem cool on the phone, but I'm just wodnering if anyone has dealt with them or bought any parts from them! thanks.

Expensive, and they seem to specialize more in older Mustangs, not the late models. Might try Krazy Koncepts instead.

Expensive and not very helpful. You go in asking for some simple info. They will gladly do it for you and charge you for it but will not help you. My personal experience.

hmmmm.... that's not encouraging!

My turn signal mechanism for my 67 broke the other day, and they seem to be the only people in town who can get a replacement part by tomorrow. (Ford told me that it would be a week or two!), so i had to order. I'll keep you guys posted on how they come through!

where's Krazy Koncepts? Do they carry older mustang stuff?

Del proudfit right across the river has everything emaginable for older mustangs and will have the parts you need i don;t have his number just call information or talk with some one from mustangs unlimited. He works out of his property but is probably the best around for older mustangs stuff. I have been buying parts from him for 12 years now and always happy.

Aldridge... hmm... I don't doubt that they know what they are doing, but they are really damn spendy, and after I didn't want to pay them $13500 for a "turbo" motor (which was using the Mexican/Sportsman block), I took my car and ran. Got my bill, which was $470 to tear my current motor apart, then another $370 FOR TALKING TO THEM!! I had no idea he was charging me to tell me what motor he wanted to put together for my car. What the hell is that??? I'd avoid them, if I were you.

Dont buy from them. Got burned once and thats all i need to say......Del in Vancouver actually Brush prairie are great people and have alot of their parts in stock.

thanks for all the input everyone. I jsut got back from getting my part from them....seemed okay, but from all this negative feedback I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon, especially if a bunch of you got burned there. I don't want to support that kind of business. I'll defeinitely check out that guy in Battleground though! Thanks for the reccomendations!

Aldridge Motorsports

I've done business with them since 1986. They have been in business over 35-40 years. What does that tell you? How many Ford Shops have you seen go under in a couple years (Affordable Performance anyone?)

I know them to be straight up and trustworthy. They don't bull***** you. You get charged if you are wasting their time, like I heard the Yellow turbo guy was doing. If you are looking around on price, this is not the shop for you. They fix other shop's mistakes. They fix YOUR mistakes. Denny is a pro engine builder who has NHRA national records under his belt from cars and motors he has done. They stand behind their work and guarantees are hard to come by in this industry.

I heard about the guy who ordered the classic mustang parts, he got what he ordered when no-one else could get it...now he is going to listen to hearsay and internet BS about a shop that did him right??? Makes no sense to me.

I've tried the rest, and I'm a repeat customer at Aldridge.

Money talks, and BULLS**T walks!!! If they have a rep of being pricey and charging for BULLS**T , more than one person has gotten burned, DON'T do business with them. Let's see, one person says they were OK, five or six say NO GOOD. Who you gonna believe? Pretty clear to me. KEEP THE PEACE!!-Dan

I think THIS is the issue at hand. I will never go there again. Back in around '95 they tried to burn me on pricing and were very rude. I dont forget about that. If you had a choice between going to shop "A" where the guys treat you like sh1t and charge for talking to them, or shop "B" where you get excellent service, BS all you want, and pay a fair rate, which would you choose. Yes, they have their place....a part for a '67 would probably be hard for Chung to get for example...but for late model stuff, Aldridge is a joke.

What ever happened to AFordable? didnt they get ?

I called Aldridge about installing 4.10s in my Mark VIII. They wanted 30%+ more than anyone else and the women on the phone was rude. AFP/Jeff installed the gears for a fair price and no BS.

just my 2 cents

bought a 850 dollar clutch back when i was sand racing they were helpful when buying part, then after i was installing part and had a question denny would not give me the time of day, rude infact. alls i wanted to know was some setting for adjustable pressure plate and plate air gap base lines, i was not asking for any specail trade secrets. then later my buddy needed yoke for 9 inch, denny sold him a 'new old stock part' taped up in box. we got it home it had a wear groove from seal and markings from pinion nut, called him for new part or money pack, refused both. would never go there or use them agian. wasn't his nhra record in a MAZDA ROTARY like ninety years ago!

That was Terry Hoard but Denny did build the intake manifold

He charged him $100 for every tenth of a second gained..........$700 back in the early 80's

I do need to say that seven tenths is a major gain on a Super Stock car

I bought my cool blue Motorsports radiator hose kit for my Stang there.......they treated me fine

Friends don't let friends go to Aldridge

I have nothing good to say about these guys. Charged me $1700 for shift forks on my '96 Cobra after quoting me $900. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Also, called them with a question on my '95. Asked for some simple advice but was told to bring it in and they'd check it out. They were rude and very unprofessional. I can understand wanting to turn a dollar but giving a little advice occasionally helps to build customer appreciation/sastisfaction.

I'd never go back there and when I hear of people who have gone there I always cringe.

Umm...Kobra68 9 out of 16 people have passed on their personal experiences with Aldridge. For you edification, the quick definition of hearsay is "...testimony that consists of what the witness has heard others say." Where's the hearsay? As far as the "...did him right" part, they got him a friggin' part! Does that mean that every time I get a part at the local performance shop they're doing me right? Get real dude.

Stay away...very far away is my advice.

Called them with questions about some tranny swap issues on my 70.... rude, then gave me the run-around and wouldn't awnser the question. OH, but we'd be glaaaadddd to have you bring it in, and we'll help you out.

Called D&D in Cali ( were told they were trans gu-ru's ) they were very helpfull, and polite.

Sorry everyone, no, I am not an Aldridge employee or any relation. Only 3 posts...There is a reason that I don't post here, it's not my favorite Mustang forum.

You can believe what you want to believe. All I know is that they have treated me right. I agree that sometimes they can seem rude or unhelpful but to serious people who want things done right I haven't found any better.

Agree that they do more vintage Fords than late model stuff. But there is a reason that Shelby owners, Cobra owners, Pantera owners and many other high performance Ford owners have used this shop for the past 35-40 years.

Local Portland engine guru Larry Kalsch will tell you that Denny knows his stuff. As will countless other pro racers from around the country, Jack Roush would be another. Heard of him? Nah, probably not.

Do what you want to do, go to the shop you want to go to. Freedom of choice.
