I am going to lower my car (approximately 1" and 1-1/4" front/rear) and of course I will have align the front end after installing the springs. Several posts and instructions say to not drive too far before re-aligning the front end. Is the concern a little extra tire wear due to additional neg camber or toe-in being out of wack, or will the car drive strangely ie; darty or pushy?

My question is, how far are we talking about; 5 miles or 500 miles. I have plans to drive about 250 miles this Sunday and would like to have the car lowered when I go but I don't think I'll have time to realign the front end before I go. Is this a bad idea?

I appreciate any advice you all can give.
Thanks

1" or so isn't going to make a very big difference. Most everything will probably still be in spec. Don't worry about taking your trip. It'll give the springs time to settle.

Well that's good news. Thanks for the input. Should I purchase some offset bolts for when I do get it aligned?

I wouldn't. Most people with the Eibach Pro Kit don't end up needing them, myself included, and that lowers 1.2" in the front. If you're looking at just an inch, you really shouldn't need them.

I have teh sportlines and haven't had the chance to get it aligned yet (heh). Drives fine, it's just wearing the inside of the tires a little faster than normal.

Anytime you change ride height, or mess with anything in the front suspension, you should atleast have it checked. My FRPP springs put almost 3 degrees of negative camber on both front wheels.. Camber bolts wouldn't pull that back in, so I had to slot the struts. I have the machine and tools to do this, but I wouldn't waste my money on major tire wear just so I could drive it and be cool

Thanks for the info. I held off installing them last weekend. I'll put them on this week and have it aligned.
