Alignment at home? (Gauges and such)

I'm tired of paying to $50-$100 for alignment everytime I make seemingly minor changes to my suspension. I've been seriously considering buying my own caster/camber gauge, and toe adjustment kit.

What all is needed to do a proper alignment in my garage? I don't need scales right now, that much I am sure of! :nice: I'm looking to spend a maximum of $400 for a complete setup at the moment - what can I get that's worth it in this range?

Thus far I've seen the Fastrax caster/camber gauge with optional toe kit - and of course Maximum Motorsports camber and bumpsteer gauges (can I meassure my caster with this??).

Helpful replies would be nice, thanks! :flag:

if you can try to find one of those places that has lifetime alignments

what do you change your setting for all the time?

Ride height, changing springs, not to mention when I have had to take the whole front end apart (and now with the adjustability of the Cobra IRS, rear end too) for adding parts - headers are in my future I figure.

All the places I have found with lifetime alignments are run by slack jawed hillbillies - and chains that won't listen to me when I tell them I have a COBRA suspension in the rear, not a solid axle
