i installed some new ball joints over the weekend on my 96. other than the ball joints, the suspension is stock. i went to get my car aligned at brake check yesterday. it took them a couple of hours and the still were not able to fix the camber. i had to leave to work also but they told me that the camber wasnt able to be fixed without a camber kit. what is it? where can i get one and for how much? also, do i really need it or are they just trying to make a couple of extra bucks? theyre not talking about camber/caster plates are they?

what was your reading? What you need is not a camber kit, get a set of Caster/Camber Plates.

BTW. What year is your car, has it been wrecked? if it has not been wrecked, and they say it can not be aligned than I throw

Another way to get more camber back, and it's cheaper, is to install a camber adjustment bolt set. Steeda part no. 271-81280, approx $30.00.

that camber adjustment bolt set is what i think they were talking about. as far as my car being wrecked, i dont think it ever has. the guys at brake check were just having a hard time getting it done. i was there for almost 2 hours but i had to leave to work. also, im going to be putting lowering springs and new struts on in the next few months. would it be pointless to buy the adjustment set for now if im going to buy the c/c plates anyway or would i still need it?

you would not still need it, and if your tires are not wearing funny, I would not even worry with the alignment until you did the springs

Camber cannot be changed from the factory. You willneed a set of Caster Camber plates to adjust the camber
