I JUST mounted those tires to the front of my car, except the ones I got are the design before those. I picked them up for $150. My experience with BFG tires are that they wear sort of fast, but always have great grip. I only run BFGs if I get a really good deal on them. There's plenty of other tires that last longer, look better tread-wise, and are cheaper.
I've had a set of those before. They aren't the best all-season for driving through snow and ice, but probably the best for the rest of the year. And they aren't bad on ice and snow, they're just not comparable to a real snow tire.
I'd say do it.
Kilgore have you used this particular tire? How's the tread hold up? I'm looking for them to last 3yrs of driving. I do very little winter driving except on nice days. Thanks. Pearl02I run the BFG KDWS tires and I have used them in severe winter conditions with no issues.
The tread pattern is ugly and they handle like %$#@.
Ive tried AS tires but once you get hooked on summer tires you cant go back.
Plus it never gets all that cold here.....
I don't know if you are going to get 3 years of driving from any tire on a V8 Mustang. But if you ever drive in cold weather, all-seasons work far better than summer tires. And if you aren't driving in snow, snow tires are worse than all-seasons for noise and handling.
