Well, I'm sure you all saw those pictures of the Yellow '05 GT with it's rear end practically flattened into a coke can. Something like that almost happened to me today.
They're doing construction on a big hill out here in town, and traffic is always stopped. I was waiting behind this little Accord, when I look in my rear view mirrow. I see one of those old VW Van things hurling itself down the hill, and it sure didn't look like it was stopping.
I began thinking "Oh great. Emilee said that if she was still driving her '99 when she got hit, she would have been dead. Oh joy, we drive practically the same car!" Well, it had more profanity. While I see this huge brown van coming down at me, I closed my eyes, crept a few inches closer to the car in front of me and held on. I heard the unforgettable sound of sticky, squeeling brakes and looked up in my mirror. Turns out that he stopped practically 6 inches away from my backend. Scared the S.H.I.T. out of me.
