Alternator Stamping

Anyone know where the numbers are stamped into the alternator? I keep turning this thing over and over and can't find any kind of identification on it.

Alternator stamping started in mid-69. Before that, it was ink-stamping.

You sure you have an original Ford alternator ? These things got swapped out several times on most cars in the past 40 years.

An early Mustang alternator will have a rounded mounting ear (like the picture above) and the word Autolite cast into the back of it plus the inkstamp. The squared off mounting ear is a dead giveaway but the Autolite casting not so noticeable once installed.
