Just use a fuse link on the wire like the original had at the solenoid
Your OEM alternator harness is stand alone on most Fords, and can be replaced separately
The Main alternator power feed wire to the battery goes straight to B+ at the starter solenoid

100-125A is the proper fuse size for 4g wire. Since the run is short, you can likely go with 125.

100-150 is what cars generally have for a main (if running fuses) instead of fuse link wires
150 for the alternator
100 to power up the inside of the car and all the accessories
150 for the alternator
