Am I crazy? Considering selling 03 SVT for 2022 / 2023 Stinger?

Yeah - put away the .12ga and pickforks... but I seem to get smitten with the practicality, features and (gasp) warranty associated with a 2022 or so Kia Stinger GTS twin turbo V6.

I mean - it's got stock Cobra levels of performance, it's alot more practical for my wife, adult daughter and grandson. I'm pretty sure If I got the color and the "only" 300 HP 4-cyliner engine - she'd promptly steal it for the hatchback and folding rear seats. It has a rather large space like her old 2-door 1990 and 1992 V6 Probe.....until Kid #1 showed up and she HATED trying to get into and out of the backseat with him.

What says the collective? My '03 is about 9.5 exterior and I'd give it a 9 for the interior....despite her 130k miles! I don't always drive it like I stole it...thats due to crappy SoCal traffic..... so the 8-speed auto is also a bit appealing (as is the adaptive cruise, lane warnings, other safety stuff.....

What say you Mustang Collective??

Buy the [thing] car but keep the Cobra.

You won't get what the car is worth and they are becoming more rare [every] day.

Termi's are going for around $30k for 30,000 mile cars. Soon, it's be 30k for a 50,000 mile car plus inflation.

Thanks Noob / Janitor. I figure they will be even more desirable down the road. Just looking at the Fox Body / SN95 market can shows signs of holding their own.

StangGuy - I actually started with the G70 research. Once I was re-incarcerated in the PRK - I figured my 2020 V8 F150 4x4 may (or may not) always be the best commuting option. But I already have the truck and the Termi - so buying a 3rd card (for "just" me) seems frivolous. Plus I only have a 3 car garage - with the daughter's mid-size SUV taking up the part of the driveway blocking in the Cobra.

Then I saw the Stinger - which is effectively the G70's clone - but with that enormous hatchback. The wife's current ride (2015 Optima Hybrid) is a decent car - but she always complains about the lack of truck space (10 cu. ft.) and 1/2 of that I have her keep stocked with earthquake and road hazard supplies. She didn't get the big moon / sunroof feature (we'd had to order one and wait 2-3 months) - but she doesn't "see" the practicality in selling an otherwise reliable, 54k mile vehicle.

We just took her car in for a dealer recall (which turned into 4 recalls) which REALLY makes me think about a replacement vehicle for her 1st. The Kia's legendary 10 year / 100k powertrain warranty is runs out in 16 months.

So perhaps - when we go back to the dealer for the second recall drop off - we'll take a spin in a used CPO one they have on the lot... I tell her it's just for the "fun" of it....

Can you buy the Stinger and keep the Cobra? With the way prices on Cobras are going, you may never be able to get back into one without spending stupid money.

I get why you are doing this, but these newer faster cars aren't the same beast like driving a Mustang, especially with a manual trans. My DD's all have more HP and my next one will be much faster than either of my Mustangs, but It's just not the same experience.
