i was thinkin about gettin the American Thunder Kit, but rather not use the taip pipes, just a perfromance H-Pipe and mufflers. Does anyone know what chamber these are and where i could get them at? Thanx !

The new American Thunder kits use the Delta Flow 40 series, which are a little quieter and are supposed to have less drone. The old American Thunder kits used the Original 40 series. There's also a Super 40 series, which uses the Delta Flow technology.. not sure what the difference is. Good deals on eBay: Original 40 Series and Super 40 Series

I'd offer to sell you mine if I had another cat-back sitting around, which I dont. My American Thunder droned to begin with, but the O/R X and my other mods made it 10 times worse. I've had mine for about 2 years and I got it at Performance Automotive Warehouse.

Did the O/R X change the RPM range at which your drone occurs at all?

I hear long tube headers eliminate the drone

I wouldn't waste my money on an American Thunder catback if you don't need the tail pipes. Get you a set of MAC pro dumps and save $100. They sound almost the same but the MAC are suppose to be a little louder and without the drone. I switched from the American Thunder kit to the MAC pro dumps and love them. Took me about 10 minutes to put them on in the driveway. The 3 inch Pro dumps come with reducers to work on stock or 2.5 inch h-pipe also.

I think that's what he was asking... where he could get just the mufflers (2-chamber Flowmasters).

i gto a off road h-pipe with 2-chamber flows and 4in tips, much much louder then almost any car in town, somtime i think its to loud, but then i rememebr i like the attention just cruising.
