Ok I was driving home from work tonight and was thinking (I dont know why lol I just think of random stuff) anyway. The ground effects on my GT you know says mustang gt on both sides and the back. I thought about getting those blue ground effect lights and cutting out the lettering and putting the bulbs inside the ground effects (where you cant see the bulbs at all) and at night it would shine through the cut out lettering....I am sure I am going to get cussed for such an idea. Just thought I would share. I use to have blue underglows on my stang. And with my car being blue I thought it looked good, but the cops took them from me anway just thought I would share.

I dunno, i'm not gonna put the idea down right away..

After thinking about it, it would looke OKAY at night, but think of what it would look like during the day, your just going to see it all cut out, would look really bad.

Maybe for a show car, for drawing attention, but otherwise hell no.

If there was a way to make it look like they weren't cut up during the day, maybe..
I don't know how you woud do it and make it look good though.

I dont think it would look so bad if you cut out the lettering and replaced it with a semi clear panel on the underside so it appears like the letters were made of semi clear plastic and not cut out. However I do believe just cutting them out is tacky looking and cheap.

You could get like some of that mirror tint glass....where it looks like mirror on the outside but not inside and that way during the day it looks like mirror lettering and during night it would be blue what ya think? I might try it if I get enough good feedback

I'm gonna have to say no on this one. IMO it'd be better just to fill the lettering in and smooth them over.

I did that on my LX ground effects. Looks awesome, also installed some euro taillights and a pink banner that said RICER.

Good idea. Maybe use some fiberglass to make the letters look inset about a half inch, then put the lights behind that, or put some plexiglass behind it, and then the lights.

Do you ever go to Hickory?

Man, I can't believe how many people are actually supporting this idea. I don't think that it would look good, but it's your car man. Post pics up when you get it done.
