I know there are several threads about this topic but I am having a problem finding info on the brakes I got. I picked up some rotors, calipers, brackets, lines, and mounting hardware off of a 2006 GT. I want to do a 5 lug conversion on my '86 GT. I have checked several threads and sites and haven't found any conversion info for this era of brakes. I know I'll have to do spindles, etc... up front. If it's going to be too much of a hassle, I'll get rid of them but I figured $100 for everything wasn't bad. I'm not looking for all the info on all the mods to do this, just how to mount them up i.e. what spindles, struts, axle lengths to use. I'll figure out the plumbing and wheel issues later.

I doubt you are going to find Spindles that are going to work with 06 Calipers, I would say you would have to buy some SN95 Spindles and have them modified, but then you will be looking at some serious cash for that kind of Fabrication Work.

What about putting the '06 spindles on the car? This is probably a difficult topic because these parts are so new. I don't want to do any "clever engineering" (for lack of a better term) to get these to fit. I want it done right. I just couldn't pass the deal up and may sell the stuff.

2006 parts won't work at all. You might as well try to put Honda civic brakes on the car. Totally different chassis, different suspension, different spindles, caliper mounting angle and bolt are different than SN95.

Sell them off.

You want 94-04 brakes.....99-04 preferably if you get 10.8" GT/V6 brakes

If it came off a GT, try to market them to 05+ V6's. They have slightly smaller front brakes and are always looking to upgrade
