Another Cowl thread

I need help determining if I need to remove the vent over the cowl to inspect it better, or if I am going to be good as is. There was some debris in the drains, but they were flowing good, and no water is coming into the car.

If you have no water coming into the car when you put water in your cowl you are probly good. Your seam sealer should be replaced since it is cracking pretty bad.

Yep, no water coming into the car. I pulled the plugs on the cowl to try and get a better look in there, and there is some rust, but it is not through. Now the tricky part. Anyone have any tips on how they cleaned up their cowl and preserved it with out removing the vent?

Well, when I finish stripping the car it is going to media blast, so I think I might just pull the cowl vent and do it right. I don't want to find out I should have done this after the new paint and interior are in the car.
