Blk92, ill add: living in Tucson (also very hot), i called Redline and asked if i could use MTL (I wanted to, instead of D4) and they said no, to use D4 (that it was formulated with T5's in mind).
i might worry about needle bearing starvation with the MTL - though in your moderate temps, the chance of it being an issue is less.
gotta remember that manuals are very easy on atf, so it should remain pretty stable (even when hot). my two cents worth.
