I think that would look great. Pull the motor out so you can paint inside the engine bay as well.

Late 90s / early 2K Jaguars have a real pretty (imho) deep metalic blood red (dont know what its called, but seen several painted like that). Very nice....

But then again dad's pantera was candy apple, and it looked really good too...
