Another problem.....

i swapped throttle bodys today, to see if it would cure my hanging idle. It didnt so i changed them back. Now the car wont idle wont rev, wont run in general. The throttle cable is hooked up. what have i messed up? how do i fix it? thanks in advance

check the TPS see if you installed it wrong on the spade.

I would the throttle cable to see if it is binding up anywhere.

i just went outside to see if it would start.... started fine and took it around the block and runs fine now. Dont understand it at all lol. the idle is still hanging everynow and then though.

If it comes back, post specifics.You said:

This is quite ambiguous. Post specifically what it's doing and what you're doing to elicit said response from the car.

I know it was vague, but i was in a hurry. when i swapped throttle boddys, you could start the car and it would die. it did this for 20 minutes or so. i would try to give it gas and it would pop through the stock intake box and would die. the last time i tried before i posted i got idleing but it wouldnt go past 1500rpms.
Whats this sound like to you all? Its running fine now so i dont think its nothing serious.

Were the TPS and IAC electrical connectors securely connected?

yeah both where connected. i let it sit for an hour or so and it fired up and ran fine

That was good. Im going to have to use that on my buddy who put his maf on backwards....

Caught it but didnt comment; I didn't know the cause/solution and if it was user error, we all make mistakes.

perhaps there was coolant induced into the system from the egr spacer when it was removed...I always try to change the oil whenever there is the possiblity of coolant entering the engine.

possible tps voltage not set or theres a vacuum leak at throttle body when it warms up. good luck
