Im looking at the MM Spacers - 1-inch - hubcentric - with the premounted studs. Ive talked with Andy and some others about may be needing to trim the stock studs down...IM good with that. I want something slightlys smaller, like 3/4", but 1" is the smallest with the studs pre-mounted.

I guess the ones I described are as good as you can get.

The main question is do you think there are any performance or handling issues with the 1" spacer, knowing that my car is NOT really a track car?

I may be looking down the road at a 331 long block, but that's still far away.

Any comments?

I can't imagine it being any "worse" than having wider rims, which basically do the same thing - push the wheels out to the edge of the wheel well. I haven't noticed any BIG difference in handling with my 10.5" rims, but my car feels a little bit better when taking corners hard. As for drag racing, I have no idea if they're good or bad... Wider wheels (or spacers) make the car look WAY better IMO.

I dont think 3/4" is made....cant remember ever seeing em...

I ran 1" spacers for 4 yrs or more....never had a prob...no tire wear, bearings being junked or any crazy chit...nada...Your gonna get a wider track so youll gain some in the handling for sure...you may or may not even notice it...
You can always buy some 315s and screw the spacers..... Then you'll get the best of both worlds...flush to the body and a nice wide ass from the back.... then youl'l be done with it....

I have 9" rims..but they way ARE measures, it's like a 9.5" rim. I know I can "fit" 315, but that's not the best for that rim. The 275's are fine, but I know I can get a 285 down the line in Kumho's.

I knew you would chime in Andy...I didnt know you had them so long..
Can you refresh us with a pic?

Rob, do you have a recess on the back of your wheels like Andy does (for the existing lugs to fit inside)?

Im not sure, but Ive already discussed with him maybe having to cut each stud a little, that's why I wanna make sure I REALLY want them first.
Thanks
