Any one know how to reduse or eliminate the loud tranny whine on a stock 88 5.0 ..is it just the stock tranny or any tranny put in would be like that....
Something's amiss -- the tranny should be relatively quiet. Probably need to hook up with someone that knows tranny's to help you diagnose the problem. My T5-Z makes no noise at all.
fluid is fine its new i just added fresh fluid..i filled up till i saw it ozzing out at the top plug...it mostley 3rd gear and 5th..all others aret a bother..dont know how many miles on the tranny..
every t-5 mustang i've been in whines a little, specially a aftermarket shifter. When i did my tri-ax shifter, it eliminates one of the boots that kinda shields the sound and it's noiser now. How loud is it? It could be a more serious trans problem.
Well i do have a hurst shifter on it. its does have a boot..but its bad i can drown it out with the radio but i still hear it alittle...its mostly 3rd gear
