Antenna & Base

Hi!

I gotta install a new antenna base on my Mustang GT 2001. The only actual part that I have is the wire; everything else is missing and I have no idea about how the base is made. Does the cable "plug" into the Ford OEM base or if I'll have to buy a new wire, disassembe my dash and all the pain related to the installation?

TTT, nobody knows how the antenna assembly is made??

trip to the junk yard i say, thats what i did. The wire you have plugs into the bottom of the base. The base is metal with 2 holes on each side to screw on the fender plus a plastic sleeve to cover the metal and screws.
my antenna was rusted on the base and snapped. I didn't search much but who knows, someone might sell that online

oh, mines a 98 so it might vary a little.
