Anyone running one?
I have a chance to get one at a real good price, but I think it may be overkill

WTF??! An anti-roll bar? What the hell is that? A sway bar? That's what my Eibachs are called. I guess I don't get it.

All Mustangs come equipped with a front and rear anti-roll bar, otherwise known as front and rear swaybars. Unless it's some kind of adjustable piece, I wouldn't waste your money.

LOL...no not the stock crap...or weak replacements.
This is a serious rear suspension upgrade...and I'm unsure if it's TO serious for my setup...I've heard that you don't need this until 1.4 60's...but if it will help then thats all that matters. I'm getting it for more than 1/2 price...new

I also heard you have to remove your tailpipes...ewww

If you don't know what it is than I guess you can't answer my post..lol

Well, is it a front sway-bar or a rear? And why do you feel the need to change it? Is it broken, too heavy or does your car have alot of understeer or oversteer? Honestly, the sway-bars should be the last suspension piece to change as it is a tuning device to induce more understeer or oversteer so the car will be nuetral. IMHO, it may be a good deal but there may be many other mods that will give you a much greater benefit.

i have been thinking about getting one too ,but getting rid of the tail pipes just won't work for me. i have heard that there is one that you can keep your tail pipes, but i can't find any info on it yet ? my friend just put one on his wicked fox , i'll let you know how it works .

its for drag racing, not the curves. and from what iv'e heard they work killer. ditch the front swaybar and run an anti roll in the back!

The anti roll bar connects to the body via 2 links. Some use bushing and some use bearings. They will make you hook harder and go straight. The one drawback is that they really arent meant for a car that sees alot of street use. You can drive it on the street, but you have to be very careful around turns and bumps. If youre not, you WILL tear stuff up. Tailpipes can be made to fit under the bar. Find a good muffler shop and it can be done. When you drive around the street, all you do is disconnect one of the links.

I wouldn't say that. It's just a sway bar with an EXTREMELY high torsion rate. What this does in the terms of handling is create a car that tends to oversteer (rear end loses grip before the front). Watch it in the rain especially.

As far as tearing stuff up, you run the same risk as running stiffer springs and solid control arms. Road conditions will be transmitted to the chassis more readily and more NVH will be the result. In the long run, this nearly always leads to cracks and structural damage (especially in the flimsy ass mustang chassis). However, I'm not saying the car will break in half a week after install. I'm just bringing up the end result. As "Jack" once said, "On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero." The same is true for cars. By modding them, we just tend to shorten the time line.
