I thought maybe my module has gone bad, since I was having an issue with my feul gauge not reading the correct fuel level. After filling the tank, It would stay on the full mark until I had 3/4 a tank or less then read correctly. So when I stepped up to a larger pump I also replaced the sending unit thinking that may have been the issue, and that did not correct the problem.
Since new modules are no longer available for 87 - 89 instrument pannels, I bought a used instrument pannel for an 87-89 Mustang. This one came out of a GT. I noticed the module was a little different that the one out of my Mustang. Can I switch the the "new" old module for the one I have now? Are the 87-89 ones interchangable?
I also installed the used instrument pannel into my car to see how that one worked. I filled my gas tank the other day so I know I have a full tank. My original feul gauge shows I have a full tank, but with the other instrument pannel installed the needle goes to empty, The complete oposite, what is up with that?
Can any one tell me what is going on here?
