any advice?

so im having this "clanking noise" that is consideribly loud which i strongly beleive to be the butchered exhaust the local shop put on it which was hand bent straight pipes. the sound is only noticable at low speeds and very noticible when doing slight turns like the nascar tire heating methods and when starting and stopping. i have searched the forums endlessly and i keep finding the end link deal which i have checked for already. what would the odds be that it is in fact the exhaust?

Well, an exhaust leak can be a "clicking" noise, but if you say it's only at certain times, it might just be something rubbing.

My best advice would be to take it back to the shop and have them put it on a lift. Or better yet, allow them to hear what the exhaust is doing.

Check your hangers... make sure they are on tight. The pipes themselves might be tight but if for some reason the hanger comes loose, the pipes will vibrate causing a sound like you're describing. I had it on mine but once the hangers were tightened, I was good to go.
