Any idea what stock rods are in an '01 Cobra

I want to add a 100 shot of N2O and I know the car has a forged crank but are the rods a weak point?

You should be fine with a 100 shot. Many have run that amount and experienced no problems (when done properly, that is).

The factory pistons/rods are definitely a "weak link" if you plan on going the forced induction route on the '01 - it's not a matter of IF but WHEN (things break). Once you reach a certain power level, the factory parts are going to fail.

Plan accordingly.

I know alot of people that run a 100 shot. Make sure you get it tuned by a reputible tuner. The rods are like pencils when compared to aftermarket forged rods. I was shoked when I saw mine and was like glad I rebuilt it before power adder.

there cracked caps rods ,made of pressed powder very weak indeed.pistons are not much better.
