OK, so you have a picture: i have an 03 GT, 5 speed with about 34,XXX miles on it. About a month ago it started acting funny. The ABS light on the dash and the the Trac. control button light (not the dash light but the actual push button) will just come on. Also the right blinker light will come on, but not all the way just kinda dim, and the right headlight will get dim also. All this happens only when I turn on my lights all the way on, and it only happens sometimes. on top of that, sometimes the car wants to die when it happens. I have no idea whats wrong... any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

an electrical problem like that is going to be hard to find/fix. your best bet is to take it to a dealership or well trained mechanic.

All other lighting stays at a normal intensity when this happens?
What's the car sound like when it's seems like it's going to die (sputter, shuts off)?
Any work done under the dash lately like a radio or clutch quadrant?

yeah, everything except the right headlight stays the same. and it sputters when its about to die, but not for too long... i give a good couple revs then it quits doing that. im gonna take it to ford a little after the hollidays, i just hope they can find whats wrong, cause it dosent happen that often: two maybe three times this month. and no, no work done to it ever.

Ok i figured it out. the ground for the right headlight had come a little loose, so if it wiggled just right it wouldnt ground out, and all that stuff would happen... I hooked it up nice and tight, and problem solved. Thanks for the help though, i appreciate it.

I'm having trouble understanding what that ground has to do with the sputtering & dieing. I had that same ground problem on my 90 LX Coupe (Same setup) and never had a sputtering issue that accompanied it.

Im not sure either. but if i had to guess, the trac control was connected to the problem, so maybe the trac cntrl system was shorting out and choking off the car (like when its on and you try to spin..) either way... that was def. the problem, i could wiggle the ground and see the headlight dim and brighten. Im just glad i found the problem before i had to pay someone else to.
