Need help!

I need some help. I have a 2001 Mustang GT. I don’t have dash lights for some odd reason. I have replaced the headlight switch and the headlight switch connecter. I spliced the connector with a new one and all of that and still have headlights, taillights, blinkers and brake lights. I’ve replaced some fuses but is there any fuses I could change that would relate to this that have gone over my head? The bulbs are new as well and we’re working for about 1000 miles. I pull the headlight knob and the miles on the vehicle, and radio back lights don’t dim like the should. The knob when rotated does turn on the cab lights so I know it’s getting power. Is there any idea to what is going on. I’ve stretched out my mechanical knowledge. PS yes I have tried the dimmer and it still doesn’t work. I also have a battery light that came on after splicing in the new connector
