I just got a NX system for my 86. The bottle is hidden, the lines run inside the car, the solenoids and purge are in the cowl out of site, the braided lines running to the nozzle will be covered with wire loom. But where can I put the nozzle? I toyed with the idea of mounting it in the egr spacer since it is no longer used, as I have a lathe an mill. So machine work isn't an issue. But the construction of the egr spacer is too thick to get the nozzle deep enoug in the air inlet. Any ideas? If I run it under and into the intake I am afraid I won't get proper dispersion into all of the cylinders. will that work though?

i put my nozzle on the bottom of my cai close to the strut tower with the line coming out the factory hole in the side of the strut tower. i've let people look under the hood and they never see it. the guys that do the tech at the local track have never seen it either. easy to change the pill also.

why would you want to hide your nitrous? kinda shady in the racer department if you ask me. i mean i hope you dont go out and claim you run all motor......

The more you can hide, and the less people that know what you've got.. the better. Especially in terms of THEIVES.

Drill and tap a small hole in the back of your intake by your egr spacer and put it there

I think that the vacuum line idea sounds like the best one.

Thanks all. I want it hidden for a few reasons. One is theft. Another is to put to shame all the punks who want to "school" me with their brand x rides. Nitrous is just a little extra insurance that I will get the job done. Lastly i want the engine bay as clean as possible. Less is more in my opinion.

Think a bit about getting even nitrous dispersion throughout the intake. If you pick a vacuum port, you may not get the nitrous evenly dispersed throughout the cylinders. Some will have more oxygen, some will have less. I'm assuming this is a dry system - so if all cylinders are getting the same amount of fuel enrichment, but they're not all getting the same amount of nitrous - some will be rich and some will be lean. And those that are lean -- that can be a BIG problem when you hit the switch. I think the egr spacer is a better way to go.
