When I did head gaskets on my friend's 88 notch with studded afr 205's, t-trim, etc....I couldn't raise the heads all the way straight up because they (or at least one side did) hit the firewall I believe so I had to take all the studs out (I think it was really just from the inner (longer studs) that did that)
No one else had problems so I don't know why he did, he mighta had the engine set back further? Idk.....Sick car tho, put down like 600rwhp.
