any issues installing heads with head studs IN CAR?

i am wondering if i will run into any problems sliding the heads over the studs with the engine in the car?

doubt it. ive done it on a 1st gen with a 9.5 block and had no problems, those fenders are alot closer than a fox.

Works just fine. Only studs that will be a pain is if you have header studs with it in car.

I just did a head swap with ead studs in my 1993 last weekend. I didnt run into any problems what so ever.

place heads on dowels and then run your studs in just like normal bolts they have an allen recess in the top.

yeah i was wondering if i could do that also.

so with studs can do i torque them down harder? and i am assuming the studs will only help me out when running boost...

When I did head gaskets on my friend's 88 notch with studded afr 205's, t-trim, etc....I couldn't raise the heads all the way straight up because they (or at least one side did) hit the firewall I believe so I had to take all the studs out (I think it was really just from the inner (longer studs) that did that)

No one else had problems so I don't know why he did, he mighta had the engine set back further? Idk.....Sick car tho, put down like 600rwhp.

Yes you can torque them down more. I believe with moly lube its around 80 lbs but you'll have to look into it.
