For what it's worth I bought one of the billet aluminum ball knobs from Steeda. A real nice piece IMO.

gotta agree with the MGW deluxe gripper. Comfortable, good looking, spiffy inlaid pony.

I like mine nice and simple, UPR billet 5 speed. The button off to the side is my line lock.

I have to agree with the MGW, especially since they've changed the medallion on the top.

Or, you could do what I did. Buy a Bullitt and custom paint the numbers. I did mine with my car's Mineral Grey touch-up paint and painted the R red.

www.fatknobs.com - I have a 2.25" fat knob type of shifter. Black with white shift pattern. Bought it from www.mustangsunlimited.com for $39.95 - it's a quality piece.

I have a sparco from my import days. Looks great, but would look absolutly retarded in a mustang. I am disapointed there aren't too many options for shift knobs for mustangs. There are literally thousands for imports.

I just installed this handle:

and this knob (in silver, not polished):

These parts are awesome. Not only are they manufactured/machined very nicely, I have never seen someone that packaged parts like MGW. There are instructions for everything, they give you allen wrenches, and there was enough protection around the parts that they would have had to run over them with the UPS truck to damage them. Its not like I don't already have a billion allen wrenches at home, but the attention to detail just really caught me off guard when I opened the package.

BTW, the Pro 5.0 is much more reachable with the new handle. No more stretching for 3rd and 5th.

What do you think of the MGW shift handle? I've thought about that, but wasn't sure if it was worth the trouble. Is the adjustable feature a good value? Does the shift feel solid?
