Any way to make 18x10 wheels fit on an 01 GT???

I recently came across a brand new set of 18x10 roush wheels with brand new rubber that are meant for the 05-newer body style. They are simply too wide for the front of my '01 Stang. Is there any type of adaptor/spacer out there than can be purchased (and be safe)? Any advice would be appreciated.

I think the offset on 05s are dfferent than our 99-04 but a 10 inch rim with the correct offset will fit without any issues. I currently am running a 9.5 with tons of room.

I put the wheels on and they are rubbing on the shocks. Have you heard of any type of spacers?

Thank you for your splendid insight

I have an issue that I am trying to find a remedy for, which means that I have to try to branch out to any possible network of people with any sort of Mustang intellect and expertise. If I am off topic, and it offends you so heavily, contact an admin. Again, I have found that most of my fellow 'Stang drivers are always ready to hand out advice and intellect on pressing issues. Clearly you were more concerned with wasting my time, and for that matter your own than you were in helping. I am glad to see that you took the time to try to insult my intellect as a law student, rather than try to help out a fellow Mustang driver who has reached out for advice. There are people who buy Mustangs because they love their speed, beauty, sound and heritage, and there are people who buy them to compensate for the fact that they have a baby penis. You are clearly part of the latter. Thanks again for wasting my time.

And - being a future lawyer (or lawschool dropout/fail out) you will most likely not be using your baby penis to pick up chicks. You will be using your fake leather briefcase and Saab convertible - or the snooty line of "let me give you my business card, I'm an associate at XXXXXX firm". On this note - I think I'll change my name to "AnOption/CommoditiesTrader" and make mature jokes about peoples genitalia. Coors will be re-releasing the favored beverage of choice for mature gentlemen like yourself in October. I think you'll need 1/2" (???) spacers and longer lugs to use 05+ wheel on a SN95...seems like somebody even makes a "kit" for that

The offset must be really different eh, I mean I run 26" MT's on 17x10.5, and I still have room...
Let us know how ya make out with the spacer so we all know in the future..

Eibach makes a spacer

I found spacers available thru Eibach. So that, coupled with the re-release of Zima makes for an excellent week of discovery for me.

He is asking about the front wheels. I always thought you really cant go much wider than 9" in the front without clearance issues. If he adds any kind of spacer it would probably stick out.

A 10" wheel in the front of an SN95 is too much. It will be very difficult to make work. 9" is typically the widest most run.

I have a suggestion, buy two of these rims and swap the rubber from your current rim to these. This will solve your offset for the fronts and fix your rubbing. Then sell those 18x10 rims because someone will pick those up, everyone wants 18x10 in the rear lol.
