I'm going out to my girlfriends house in PA next week and her dad wants me to work on his 01 Subaru Outback while I'm there. It's got blown head gaskets and needs a new timing chain. While I've changed my share of head gaskets and done plenty of work on cars, I've never even looked under the hood of a Subaru before and don't know jack squat about those flat four 3.0's. Anybody know of any good resources or maybe even guides for them? Any help would be awesome.

hey, i just sold my WRX. so I know a little about them I guess (and i am neither a hippie and/or lesbian) I dont think its possible to pull the heads off withought dropping the motor. I pulled the motor on my car which is 2 cylinders shorter and it was a pain in the ass. check out www.nasioc.com if you havent already.
