Anybody loose 1/8 mph with gear swap?

Anybody loose 3mph in 1/8 and not pick up any ET with gear swap?

I went from 2.73's to 3.55's and lost 3 mph in the 1/8. Just wondering if anybody else had noticed this. The 1/4mph is the same though... I did not pick up fecies... I also changed from autolight 23's to 25's with the 3.55's

I have a 5 speed...

Well what Im getting at is it was "real" hot this weekend.I went to the track by me (Island Dragway) and my buddy who usaully runs 10.40's-10.70's was running 10.95 because it was so hot.How was the weather last time you went with your 273's?

sry,I posted too early Huh,I didnt go Friday,but I will be there next Friday for sure!!Thats weird,,same kind of tires? Did you get "alot" of wheel spin?

didnt really gain anything, maybe on average 1mph more, dropped about a half second though

Sounds quite oppisite of what I woudl think, I would expect to see a bigger gain in the 1/8th and a smaller gain in the 1/4. Conditions have a lot to do with it. I went from a stock suspension missing a swaybar to drag LCA and UCA, Lakewoods, springs, and front drag coil overs and gained 3mph but had no improvment in ET.

My 60 foots were better. with the last time was 2.3-2.4 this time I actually was doing 2.08-2.3's with the new gears. I just though it was strange to loose 3 mph 1/8, but still have the same 1/4.

This is about my average times shifting at 5500rpm with autometer tach, it appears that my car only picked up a tenth even with the gears. That is only because of the better 60ft. What the hell is with this car... Nothing makes it pick up, except for the n20.

Next time you go try shifting at 5000rpm,,,I know mines faster when I shift at this rpm.5500 is high for a stock motor.I know,I know,alot of guys shift at 5500,but those guys usaully have more than 355's!!
