That camera should allow you to place it on a tripod which is a neccessity for night shots so you can get the right exposure. A steady hand is great, but you need to expose it a bit longer at night due to the lack of light. It's easier to get a blurred picture that way. 8MP is really great, but that camera can do a lot more once you get used to it. Luckily I have a really steady hand, but I have not had a chance to look at the Pantera shots that I took since I got out of work late and pretty much had to crash right when I got home. I am putting in a lot of OT at work this week and need all of the sleep that I can get.
