wow, so much hated, thats just weak. goes to show that the majority of the mustang owners are stuck at the drag strip and cant see more then strait lines. scerw that.

drifting is cake in the mustang. it has the ability to be firmed up and has great torque for getting things going, just an awesome platform. why do you think all the american cars are tearing up the D1 circuit? persoanlly i have not done much drifting, my ass is still evry unstable in its current form so i cant say much. once i get my trilink to fix my horridly worn UCAs i should be primed to take it well.

in the end i will have a hybrid of the MM maximum grip box, though i will have the EvM trilink instead of the torque arm. and using the adjustable rear swaybar to work the over/understeer to change between drifting and grip (drifting is more fun honestly). if you dont have one i would seriously look into getting a panhard rod to keep the side to side of the axle in check, and then get a trilink, or at the very least ditch your passenger UCA (poor mans third link) for some reason the dual UCas prevent the PHB from working right.. havnt figured out why, but it does.

i wish i had more locations i can play around, but cops keep getting called when using empty parking lots and no t good enough (car wise) to do events. i wouldnt get called if my damn Direzzas were not so damn loud.

thanks a lot this is what i was trying to accomplish, a little info on suspension set up! MM ? is that maximum motorsports ? thanks again.
with the exception of you and a couple others on here i am almost embarassed to be part of the mustang community i come on here and make an actual thread to get set up info and morons come on to **** on it. i think the majority that come on here to bench race and dream about actual competition should stay out of real topics and mind your business thanks. didn't mommie ever tell you if you dont have anything smart to say than shut the **** up

actually maustangs in stock trim ride like grocery getters. tall soft springs, junk tires, unibody, junk rear suspension i could go on. oh and go check the majority of you and your friends 60ft times !

the mustang however is a beatuful car and when properly modified can reak havok !

oh and newer mustangs are far from the muscle car category

Calm down dude, drifting is a little controversial here. Stick around and you will find people who share your interests for sure

It is just the internet anyways

How did your car end up with such a unique paint job? Tell us the story

Oh, and welcome to StangNet

just pisses me off when people comment in a thread they clearly care less about just to be an a$$ !

the paint job i was just going for the old school hotrod look to be honest. the car used to be sonic blue and it look to much like purple so i painted it. and tire warehouse paid us to do a demonstration and we have three cars so i wanted them to all be black and mine was the only one that wasn't. i get **** all the time cause it's a 2004 GT and i painted it flat black

im not worried about the color. personally flat black is a badass color. we had it in primor on my friends lightning before he painted it and it looked badass. just the fact that your taking your mustang into a import sport. i like drifting, i respect those who can do it because it takes alot of skill and driving ability but thats why they drive imports to do it. mustangs werent built for it. you can build them to do it but personally id rather build my motor to fly then my suspension to slide. thats all me though.

I run a full bullitt suspension with the exception of C/C plates from steeda and 12 way adjustables on each corner so I can dial to drift or drag.

sweet. but personally if i wanted to drift id have an import. only real "drifting" id do in my stang is if i was messing around with a friend or something and just dumped it around a cornor or at a T when i stopped. but actually using the car for drifting then id have to say id get an import. thats just personal preference. whateva floats your boat dude.
