anyone ever replace the firewall on a 1969?

Well, after placing an order for several thousand of dollars worth of parts plus another grand in shipping and duty after my November accident, it turns out that I need another new door, new floor pans, and a new firewall such that I get to buy and ship overseas all over again. So I got that going for me. So anyways, from what I have seen on all the websites, nobody makes a firewall for 1969-1970 mustangs. Has anyone ever fit a 1967-1968 firewall into a 69-70? How much cutting was required?

check www.dynacorn.com and use ask joe parts to see when they will have one available - I have taken one out of a 1970 years ago since the car was considered a junker 20 years ago (people would restore it today) and sold it - lots of spot welds to be drilled and cut out.

are you sure you need the entire firewall and not just the toe boards above the floor pans?

good point. The body shop guy told me I needed a new firewall and it was my assumption that he meant the whole thing. I am going over there Saturday to have a lookie-see.
