I am going to change the rear gear in my 2000 GT from 3.27's to 4.10's. I am wondering how to correct the speedometer after the swap. I have done some research and everything points to a new module. I need to know if I can get one specially for my car or if I need to get a JET or Hypertech module and program it myself?

You need a chip or a reflash of the PCM to correct the shift points and the gear ratio (reported to the PCM). The Hypertech (Power Programmer?) will do the trick. Superchips Custom Tuning offers a wicked good chip right off the shelf that will fix things properly for the gear change as well as give you a good tune. No spam intended by the comment about SCT: I have had a dyno tune by one of the SCT guys (yes, my car is a wheezy-headed '98).

yea i used a hypertech on my 01 gt auto with my 4:10s and i fixed everything and i used the firmer shift option and WOW barks em goin to third now but i recommend hypertech easy to use and can manual alter shift points with a lil trial and error and rev limiter
