seriously though i would like to hear how people set them up cause i have a mini the 4GB one and would like to hook it up to my stereo somehow?? wasn't too sure on those fm tuners and how good the quality of sound is.

i have the 4g nano and its a peice of cake to setup with the FM tuner just plug it in and tune it to the correct station and your good to go... sometimes the static is non existent sometimes its deal-able and sometimes you just gotta switch the station to a new channel and tune into the new channel....

its really easy

I use the Monster FM tuner as well, and have traveled several hundred miles using it, and rarely have been disappointed.

The only iPod I know of is made by Apple.... But this could be a case of mistaken labeling. You know, like in class for example. If someone sneezes, and they ask for a facial tissue usually they'd say, "Anyone have a Kleenex?" When, in reality, any brand (Including Puffs!) would work just as fine. When someone asks for "a Kleenex" I doubt they are going to discriminate between a Kleenex and a Puffs or any other brand for that matter. "No, you dolt, I asked for a Kleenex!" is very unlikely... =)

So... if you're asking about portable Mp3 players overall, then yes, my portable Mp3 player is made by Apple.

I just use one of these and hook to the headphone jack on the ipod to audio inputs on the back of my head unit. Most aftermarket head units have audio inputs.

The BEST way though is to buy one of these along with the Y-splitter above and the sound is awesome. Instead of plugging the output of the Y-splitter to the headphone jack on the ipod, you connect it to the charger which gets the audio signal from the main connection on the bottom of the ipod. It also has a built in amplifier which makes the sound damn near perfect. Hope that makes sense ...

FWIW, I also have an FM Transmitter and it's no comparison, FM transmitter is a gimick IMO. It cuts out at times, you have to have the volume set just right ... pain in the a**

I have an aftermarket Pioneer MP3 player. I bought the IPod adaptor which lets me control the IPod from the deck or with my remote. The USB cable running to the IPod is hidden so the IPod is out of sight and I don't have to mess with it while driving. Makes it alot easier...........

Sounds crystal clear as well.

I had an Alpine head unit and used the KCA-410 to interface the iPod with it. Worked great. Navigating artists and songs was a little slow, but it worked for what I needed it for.

All iPods are Apple.

You might look into an interface that will allow you to plug it into your factory changer port and control it with the head unit. I know such a thing exists for vettes, and it can't be that different from stangs.

Don't have an Ipod...have an I-river though. Have an aftermarket Kenwood player that had an aux input on it. Just hook up an adapter from the RCA jacks to a headphone jack and play away. Yahoo Music Online rocks...all the music I ever want transferred to my MP3 player for 10 bucks a month.

I have my 3rdGen ipod in the glove box wired to a Pioneer kit. Works great, but because mine is older, the seek time is longer My friends Nano goes from artist to artist/song to song instantly, mine lags a second or so upon button press.

Where did you mount your Pioneer adaptor box? I put mine next to the shifter where the Speedcal usually goes.

I've got a iPod video that I've installed in my car. I've also got the PIE adapter which allows me to control the iPod through the factory Mach 460 head unit using the external CD port on the back of the unit.

I have a RF adapter for mine and after getting it dialed in the sound quality is fairly good...I do have an Alpine head unit with the direct plug in module but don't drive the mustang so i needed the RF setup to carry car to car.
