Thats pretty funny! I never even thought of that. I bet they would never notice.

I hand sanded them for about 45 mins per light. The next day, I literally could barely move my arm it was so sore. You may not have to do it that long, but I kept seeing little spider cracks I wanted to get out.

If you do decide to sand them, definately remove them from the car. Even double taping the area around the lights, I got some scratches in the paint I had to buff out.

Hey guys! I actually went out last night and bought some wet sand paper and wet sanded my lights. I obviously took them off the car first!!

The results were really good. They don't look crystal clear but it certainly made them at least 90% better. I might still be able to polish them some more to make them crystal clear...who knows. All and all, I am happy and probably will hold off on buying new ones.

See I think a lot of us were talking about two different problems. My headlight housings have never been on long enough to get oxidized. The problem I have with mine is that they get all fogged up on the inside. This is a common problem and the cause for every one of the headlight housing replacements I have had to do on my GT.

You can see the foggyness on mine, this is on the inside and not the outside.

I recently slapped in new headlights. My stockers looked ok.. the more I buffed them the better they looked. After a little "accident," I had new lights put in. I now wax my headlights too; I'm hoping to squeeze a little more life out of them this time around.
