I tried applying with Hagerty and found out that they look back 5 years and although they say they will ignore an infraction they wont ignore my 30 over ticket from 4 years ago. Its amazing how long you get punished for doing something like that. More punishment than for an actual crime like shop lifting or something...

I found American Hobbyist Insurance. American Reliable underwrites for them and I found American Reliable on the NJ Dept. of Banking and Insurance website so I think they are legit and reputable.

Has anyone had any experience with collector car insurance?

The one really good think about American Hobbyist compared to Hagerty is that they (American Hobbyist) dont have a mileage limit. Hagerty has a max 3000 miles a year limit.
