My new carpet just artrived and like I figured there are no bolt holes.
Just trying to figure out the best way to make sure my holes are in the right spot.

I thought of laying the old carpet over top of the new and getting a white paint marker and putting a little touch. then drill thru the carpet once it's installed.

any other suggestions???

thats not a bad idea, i did it before and i left the bolts in the car and laid the carpet over and the made a slice to allow the bolt to come through but i didn't have the benefit of an intact original carpet to use as a template.

just curious why did you get a new carpet? was yours worn or torn? if you take the old carpet out and power wash it, spray purple power on it and power wash it off it would have looked brand new. I did this to a buddys car and couldn't believe the end results. I see with aftermarket carpet they aren't as durable, dont fit as nice and require a lot of work for install. Just my .002

p.s it will take a few days to dry out

OEM carpet is by far the best fit. I tried an aftermarket carpet on my old 1998 GT, I ended up replacing it wth an OEM black one I got on ebay.

I got AAC. I think it is actually better quality than OEM. It's al ot thicker and a lot more padding underneath.

What I did was go under the car and find the bolt holes. Stick a sharp pin through it and then mark it up top.
