Once the module is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air; think of it as a "default" setting on the ECU. When the ECU reads this, it leans out the air/fuel mixture-in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees.

even if it DID add more air... leaning out the air/fuel is NEVER a good idea... not to mention no matter WTF that thing did, as soon as it gets to the O2 sensor, its going to correct everything as the O2 sensor has the final say in everything...

All technical issues aside, the thing that made me think it's a hoax was that it said:
"Adds up to 20 horse power".

well that accusation could be correct... look at drag cars running at different altitudes and temperatures... they get totaly different times.

if you trick the computer into thinking you're somewhere its not... you COULD come out with more power... 20hp on like a v12, but not a lil 2.3...

02 has no effect on WOT operation...leaning out does make more power to an extent as well.

This thing is still a pos though.

I thought all those things did was make your car run in closed loop all the time so you got crappy gas mileage.
