It fell from under my dash yesterday while I was checking my window fuse., It was already destroyed like that when it fell.

I thought that was funny also. I need to know what it is since it fell and hit the floorpan. My car wont start, I can bridge the solonoid and it will start, but the key wont start it. But the key will kill the motor when I get out of the car.

Take a picture of where the wires go it so I can see the shape of the plug and the terminals.

It was a 2.3l car that was switched over to a V-8 (which I did not do)

That's the interval governor for your windshield wipers.

See if your intermittent wipers work, if not that could be the box that controls them.

Thats what it is. There is only 1 in the country, and its in Oregan. Ford Discontinued it.

I thought it was a torqued out spindle rotor.....or a muffler bearing

You should be able to find another governor at a junkyard. They were used in a variety of models like the Tempo, Topaz, and I think the Tbirds of the same years as the Fox bodies. If nothing else and yours still works you should be able to locate a better case at a junkyard. The cover of the box is attached with just three locking tabs. Depress the tabs, pop the cover off and swap the board into a another case.

DING DING DING we have a winner!!!!!!!! lol

i learned that the hard way lol!
it fell and i took it off a week later it rained and i didnt think to plug it back in so half of the raining season my wipers only worked on one setting it was annoying then i happen to plug it back in and walaaaaa wipers worked on all the settings lol mine was also smashed but still worked so yours should still work cuz mine was worst lol
