I have been looking at some pics of sheet metal intakes and it looks fairly simple. I just don't know the thickness of the sheet, and any other specific things.

Those are pretty specific to high rpm race engines. The runner are just so short on them and the fabrication involved is intense with the injector ports and flanges and getting it to fit the lifter valley just right. I think someone did do a DIY UPPER intake a couple years back though.

It would be time consuming but I don't see why it couldn't be done. The thing that may be hard is trying to get the length and "tune" of the upper just right so that some ports don't end up being "lazy" and others have too much flow. If you could knife edge the transition between the upper and lower that may help as well.

You can buy some with them, plus you can buy the "bung" seperately and weld them in yourself if your manifold doesn't have them.

What would be the horsepower gains with any one of these on forced induction?

I'll let you know at the end of October as I will most likely be switching out my upper Trickfow R for the Reichard Racing Upper, with just the intake I'm guessing arund +/-30rwhp just a guess though.

2008 fall/winter upgrades:
-Reichard Racing upper intake
-Switch out my T76 Q trim Turbo for a Bullseye S380+ Turbo
-Ditch the C4 out for a Viper spec T56 w/ Mcleod twin disk clutch (better gas mileage)
-Nitrous Express ford EFI plate system for Trickflow R intake w/ 100 shot of giggle juice
-and throw all the leather seats / stock seat belts back into the car

Are you effing kidding me? How much horse power are you going to make, around 950? I bet you get 20-30 from the Viper Spec alone.

Cool car!
