Ive had my springs for about 2 weeks and was going to wait for them to settle before doing an alignment. Then I was thinking my tires dont have too much longer to go and maybe I could put it off until new tires go on. Bad idea? It rides just fine as is.

My alignment is the exact same it was before I put my springs on last weekend. It pulls a little to the right, but I don't care about these tires because I got my new wheels/tires going on here in a little bit.

I didn't get one, and my car drives perfectly straight and there is no uneven wear. Did the job over a year ago.

I have sportlines, and was gonna do the alignment, but it doesn't pull and feels ok and my tires arent wearing unevenly...so i never did...you should be ok as long as it doesnt pull til you get new treads.

i didn't do it either and I have H&R SuperSports. I bought MM CC plates that I never even used. They're still sitting in my garage...

Tire wear is still fine so far, and I've put about 7k miles on since I got the springs installed.

My left front wheel was out of alignment after my spring installation. Of course it was on a 2inch drop. A general rule is any drop more than 1.5 does not need it. I would go ahead though, not to much extra money.

I agree, 50 bucks is worth it to me to know that everything is fine. From what I have heard, your car doesn't need to pull to one side or another to need an allignment, that's just usually when it becomes a larger problem...

i waited a few weeks because i knew i was going to get new tires, and for the same reason of the spring settling, so i got the alignment, balancing(with weights on the inside instead of out, makes a big diference in how wheels look) and all that stuff at once.

I didn't need an alignment, but I had some bumpsteer. I installed OFFSET RACK BUSHINGS and now I have NO bumpsteer. That was the best $15.00 that I ever spent on my car!

Get Offset Rack Bushings, you will thank me!

What kind of difference did you notice with the bushings? I dont notice any bumpsteer but maybe Im not paying attention. How was the installation?

First you have to know what bumpsteer is. Does your car follow ruts or grooves in the road? Does it pull to one side or the other when you brake? Mine did both, but it doesn't now that I have the offset bushings!

To install you disconnect the steering shaft from the rack.

Unbolt the long bolts holding the rack to the "K" frame.

Take the long bolts out.

Pull the rack away from the "K" frame and pry the old bushings out, front and back.

Insert the new bushings with the offset hole at the 6 o' clock position.

Bolt everything back up,don't forget to reconnect the steering shaft!

I dont have any of those symptoms but was wondering if its a good "precautionary" measure to put them in before the alignment or if they will help in drivability in any other way.
