Like the title says, my car came with a white face gauge kit installed and it looks great... during the day... at night it looks terrible. You can see the adhesive used to install the kit when the cluster is light up. I'm considering removing it and restoring the cluster to the OEM black color but I'm afraid I might ruin the original decals if I remove the white face kit.

Depends on what kind of kit it is. Are they overlays? If so they arent glued to the original faces under...or at least they shouldn't be.

If they are replacement gauges, then the faces under might be gone. I have a set of white face gauges i'd like to ditch, but my original faces were removed in the process. Now i have to buy a whole new cluster if i want to go back to black

not sure what decals you're referring to? unless theyre stick on? if they are the standard swapped in white faces than theyre not stick on. Its fairly easy to swap in a new cluster.

never been a fan of white faced gauges in fox cars.

I'm not sure what the previous owner did, but I can definitely see that there is some sort of adhesive under the face... I'm inclined to think they are some sort of overlays.

I removed the aluminum face from my AC controls and it has super glue on my stock face now. Looks like i need to purchase another face or AC control box now. Anyone have tips on removing dried super glue?

you don't need a new cluster. Just pull off the white face stuff and glue the stock ones back on. I have a nice white face kit on mine (not the cheap pep boys ricer looking kits) that i'm thinking about changing back to stock as well.

I like the white face gauges if it is in a clean interior. I want some for mine eventually but got a lot of other stuff to take care of before buying the white faces..

I like the simple white gauges. A lot of the white face kits on the market today are, well, ugly. They either make the entire cluster white, or have weird blue lines running all through them.

I wanted a set that looked OEM. Prob is my BBK gauges don't light evenly. I'm gonna give it a shot with some LED's and see if i can fix that, but if not i want to go back to black OEM. Prob is i don't have any more.
