I'm having my motor built it's a .30 over 351w / new pistons / flats w/reliefs - alum heads - (I was going to do it myself - but then I realized how much $$ I had into it) ...I'm a paint and bod guy ....I can make it look real real 'pretty'.....but wanted to take no risk and have it run/sound good...(he blue printed and balanced it - I would of been lost ) anyway -

I tried searches here and other sites - and the you tube....but I wanted to know what a 270H sounds like in a 351w ...video etc ....

I gave my builder the spec's on the XE268 / XE274 and a Magnum 290H / 292 - but said I wanted pwr brakes / steering / A/C ....plenty of Vac ...he put the 270 Magnum in ...I trust him - I'm just curious to what the rumble will be ....will the exrta cubes tone it down a bit....I'm spoiled w/ my mutha thumps in my 07.....

I have a XE268 in my Dodge. Doubt it sounds a lot alike.

‪Idling‬‏ - YouTube

Was idling kinda high in the vid. I have since lowered the idle and it sounds nice.

Thanks Lars ...I think this helps greatly ....I looked @ that cam...the 270H should be ok....at least have some lope to it -
But you know what I've found - long story short ...

.....my wife would'nt 'ride' with me b/c she says the Mutha thumps are too obnoxious /loud etc ....in my 07 GT ...(I put shorties on it b/c of the emissions etc ...switch out the H-pipe - change the tune / pass) ....so I was sick of her not riding with me (the car 'sits') and just switched it out anyway...just to try it and ...holly molly you could barely barely even hear the cams ....those cats really muffel it ....practically sounded stock .....(that lasted exactly (3) three days - it was up on jacks and switched back)

- anyway it seems the exhaust is a 'key' factor to letting the lope out - straight pipes / long tubes on the 351w - with the 270H hopefully will sound wicked sick like yours....Thanks!
